ABOUT US
A NEW ROAD. A NEW PURPOSE.
BRIAN MAINARD • FOUNDER & OWNER
After nearly 30 years in the automotive industry, Brian was ready for a change. He began thinking about what he wanted the next chapter of his life to look like—not just professionally, but personally.
As a veteran, Brian had also seen fellow veterans searching for that next sense of purpose after service. He wanted to build something that could create opportunities not only for himself, but eventually for others as well. Groot Logistics became that new path.
Built on hard work, discipline, accountability, and service, Groot Logistics reflects the values Brian has carried throughout his life and career. As the company grows, his goal is to create meaningful opportunities for other veterans along the way. For Brian, Groot Logistics isn't simply about moving freight. It's about moving forward—with purpose.
WHY GROOT?
THE HEART BEHIND THE NAME
Don’t let the muscles fool you. Groot may have the strong build and presence that makes people take notice, but anyone who knows him knows what’s underneath it—the biggest sweetheart.
Groot came into Brian’s life as a service dog and quickly became much more than that. His steady, calming presence helps Brian stay grounded, and when difficult dreams interrupt the night, Groot is there to wake him and remind him he’s not alone. Loyal, protective, and always by Brian’s side, Groot has become an important part of Brian’s life and his journey forward.
So when Brian began this new chapter, the name Groot Logistics meant something. It wasn’t simply a company name—it represented the qualities he wanted the business to stand for: strength, dependability, loyalty, and heart.
Strong enough to handle the job. Dependable when you need us. Protective of what’s been entrusted to us. And underneath it all, a company that genuinely cares about the people it serves.
That’s Groot—and that’s the kind of business we’re building.
